The tragedy known as the American Civil War had left a bad taste in the mouths of folks old enough to remember it, but that was a long time ago. It wasn't the kind of thing that many people up north would pay any mind to at all, let alone during the turn of the 20th Century. Billy Johnson was different, though. He was a boy who loved history. He'd heard of the tales of the lionized Confederate outlaws like Jesse and Frank James, the Younger brothers, and his favorite of them all-Jodie Walls. At last Billy found his chance to live out his fantasy of the Wild West when he was sent to visit his brother in Texas, where he met fate in the form of some uncouth friends and a grizzled stranger. Follow along with young Billy as he faces the reality that legends don't die; they live on. Western Horror author, aficionado, and noted historian B. L. Blankenship brings to life this coming-of-age, late/traditional Western tale in this revision of what was his ninth published book.
