The world of fish is fascinating and mesmerizing, so much so that Jimmy wants to be a fish, not a person. His family helps him understand the difference between fish and people. Jimmy understands that he can't breathe underwater. Nonetheless, his father surprises Jimmy with scuba-diving lessons, and his imagination runs wild underwater. This fiction title is paired with the nonfiction title "We Breathe Air" for connecting across texts and comprehension through connection strategies.
