Negotiating a commercial real estate lease can test the resolve of even the most seasoned business leader. Companies looking for space in today's markets need a solid plan to give them that extra edge. There is so much more to understand than just the rental rate. There are a myriad of lease terms and concessions to consider, and each situation is unique because commercial spaces differ, tenant needs vary, and space footprints are atypical.
“It's Not All About the Rent” will show you how to:
-Assess your needs and calculate the true costs of your next lease and what that can mean for your company.
-Build a team of expert advisors to help provide information, advice, direction, leadership, and to partner with you through the leasing process to ensure a successful outcome.
-Spot the landmines that can undermine your negotiating efforts and diffuse your leverage.
-Reassess your lease annually to make sure it's delivering that great value year after year.
The complexity and uniqueness of each leasehold negotiation can hardly be overstated. The good news is: It's a game and you can win.
