Brisbane Broncos legend Corey Parker has played more rugby league games than any other forward in the game's 108-year history. After 16 seasons and over 340 NRL games - plus 19 Origin games for Queensland and 16 tests for Australia - it's clear why Parker was hailed 'League's ultimate iron man'.
Power. Dedication. Durability. These are the steely qualities that made Parker a hero to footy fans in Queensland and throughout the NRL. Yet the silver-haired elder statesman of 2016 who captained the Broncos was light years from the raw-boned skin-headed teen who burst onto the scene in 2001.
Iron Man tells the extraordinary story of how that wild kid from Logan evolved into a premiership-winning star, a one club man, an Origin icon and a sharp-shooting goal-kicker and hard-running hit-man whose epic feats on the footy field demanded respect from all who played with and against him. Corey Parker was born 5 May 1982 in Logan, south Brisbane. He is a one-club man, having played his entire rugby league career (2001-16) with the Brisbane Broncos. He was part of the club's 2006 premiership-winning side, is the club's second most-capped player and its leading point-scorer. Barring injury he will retire in 2016 with 340+ NRL games, 19 Origin matches and 16 tests for Australia to his name. Corey is a husband to Margaux and a father to daughters, Memphis and River, and sons, Jagger and Wylei. He lives in Brisbane. The explosive autobiography of rugby league legend Corey Parker.
