Insane-O-Tron is a hilarious and twisted trip into the absurd and surreal with six stories about a family-themed TV show turned R rated comedy, time travel and a talking haircut, human-duck inter-species dating, childhood friendships and the glory of Halloween, magical dancing ponies, and an earwig's summer day trip to the gutter. These stories are insane!
The title story, Insane-O-Tron, is about two best friends, one a man, the other his haircut, thrown into the middle of a plot to stop humans from ever existing. As they battle a lunatic scientist and his fast food employees, they attempt to travel back in time seventy-two million years in order to save their future.
In The Family Family the former golden boy of TV comedy, Scott Scotterson, is tasked with reviving a failing TV show, by turning its family-themed plots, from wholesome and boring, into crude, over-the-top insanity. But when things start to go off the rails, can he keep his show and his life together long enough to make it to the season finale?
When Peter Hunter's daughter comes home and tells him that a boy asked her out on a date, his worst nightmare comes true when it's revealed that the boy is a duck named Mallard Quackenbush. For the sake of his daughter Peter puts his feelings aside and allows the date, but his traumatic past with waterfowl threatens to drive him to do something crazy.
Terry tells the story of the life of a small plastic pumpkin and his best friend, a little boy named Billy. Once Billy's trusted candy carrier, Terry must face the reality that as Billy gets older, their days of trick-or-treating may be over.
Ernie the earwig is excited! It's summer time, school's out and today his family is taking a trip to the warm, scum infested water of the gutter. It won't be a great day, it will be The Perfect Day.
A fire breathing dragon has come to Pony Land and nobody knows what to do, until a socially awkward pony decides to face this deadly threat with the only weapon he has: terrible dance moves. With it all on the line, will the Brave Pony win the fight or go down in flames?
Insane-O-Tron explores themes of love, fantasy, action, adventure, friendship and much more through six short stories that inhabit the same universe. It's for adults who want to laugh out loud in a crowded restaurant, quietly cry alone on the couch or daydream about a wild adventure while sitting at work. Insane-O-Tron is for anyone who craves an escape into imagination. It is truly different than anything you've ever read.
