Descended from the ancient Babylonians, the Christian Chaldeans are an endangered people on the brink of extinction, a community that, throughout their history, has been forced to choose between conversion, death, or to leave behind the soil of their ancestors, carrying nothing but memory, sorrow, and the echo of forgotten prayers. In their most recent flight to preserve their people, they came to America to face a different kind of demise, social suicide. Dee didn't care about preserving anyone other than his family and two American women, whom he worshiped with his heart and soul. Haunted by shadows of curses, betrayal, and whispered warnings, Dee navigates through risk and temptation as his choices pull him deeper into Detroit's underworld. Love, Loyalty, and Vengeance collide in a battle for survival at the cost of the American dream. Welcome to book one of At the Edge of Extinction.
