When an obsessive compulsive woman, a workaholic divorce lawyer with severe panic attacks, and a young man battling a major depression meet in the waiting room of their therapists office in Seattle, their not-so-simple lives become unintentionally intertwined.
As a result of her disorder, Grace Abbott has lost custody of her infant son, Ben. For the time being, he is safe with her sister, Jessica, but that does not stop her for launching a relentless mission to win back custody of Ben before her ex-husband does. Ethan Knight almost instantaneously falls in love with Grace when he sees her in the therapy waiting room, but finds it nearly impossible to talk to her - despite his career as a successful attorney. Lance Daniels is battling a traumatic past. He turns to Grace for help after he becomes homeless and soon discovers his feelings for her are more than platonic.
Grace, Ethan, and Lance - three lost souls who seem to have nothing in common but the same therapy time - soon find themselves immersed in a love triangle that is both endearing and comic.
