This book contains MAJOR spoilers for 'In Someone's Hands'.
Kade has spent years distancing himself from the person he used to be, but when a chance to win the approval of someone he left in the past comes with an unexpected catch-babysitting a girl at work, befriending her-he's thrown into a situation that's as uncomfortable as it is bizarre. Kade is no babysitter, and the last thing he needs is a reminder of the person he's tried so hard to leave behind.
The girl, Medisa, is more than just an inconvenience. She has a way of triggering something deep inside Kade. Sometimes it's forgotten memories; sometimes it's the sting of past mistakes; and sometimes it's simply the way she makes him feel-weak, vulnerable, soft, mad. As days go by, Kade finds himself torn between two conflicting desires: to keep her close, or to get rid of her, forfeiting his original prize.
The choice soon slips out of his hands and as their connection deepens, the stakes rise, and what started as a simple task, spirals into something much darker and more dangerous.
In a world where every decision carries weight and the past is never truly buried, Kade must face the consequences of his actions. Sometimes, you chose your battles, sometimes you are forced back in the arena, and sometimes, the people you least expect can be the ones who change everything.
