Poignant narratives quickly alternate, which speak of explosions, life-and-death battles with wild animals, mountain rescues, forced labor camps, falls, persecution, torture, informers, secret police, and many forms of physical and mental abuse. Finally, we can witness the complete collapse of communism, which the author experienced as a young family man.
