As our publishing housespecializes in French-language publications, this edition has not undergone thesame editorial process as the French adaptation, which was professionallyedited by a native French editor. Readers will therefore discover "Hunted in Alaska" in its originalEnglish form, as first published by the author.Publisher's Note: "Huntedin Alaska" is a compelling noir novel. Its prose is lean, itsnarrative stark and unsentimental, echoing Alaska's harsh climate. With methodical precision, the author dissects horrific acts, complex characters, and an unforgiving wilderness. The writing feels as though it has been strippedof all sentiment, filtered through a lens devoid of empathy. In this respect, the author recalls the style of Georges Simenon's early novels. It is a boldartistic choice-and a remarkably successful one.ABOUT THE AUTHORMark Wilkinson has worked as a writer and editor for publications and other organizations.
