An Early Years Gymnastics Class in a Story! Hubert's Animal Adventure is a joyful, action packed story designed to get young children moving, learning and having fun. Join Hubert the bear as he visits a nature trail and sees various animals along the way. But this isn't just a story - hidden within the pages are exercises which help to promote strength, coordination and flexibility as Hubert imitates each animal he spots. Due to the differences in the way he is built to other animals, he finds some of the exercises a bit tricky. With gentle encouragement from his Pops, he learns that with practice he is better able to achieve, offering young readers a heart warming lesson in persistence and determination.
Created by qualified gymnastics coaches, this imaginative tale is part of an innovative Early Years gymnastics award scheme, offering an alternative channel in which to deliver the content. Whether this is delivered in an educational setting or at home, children will love following Hubert's Journey while actively participating in the adventure through movement and play. The book also includes a catchy companion song, making it a fully immersive experience and providing a full workout for little learners.
Some elements of the story suggest using basic gymnastics equipment if available, but it's just as engaging with a little creative improvisation, like pretending to walk along a beam. A small soft toy is also needed to join Hubert on the adventure!
Perfect for parents, educators and coaches, Hubert's Gymnastics Adventures - Fairground, blends storytelling with physical development to support a child's body and mind. (* Younger children may need to have the story broken down into smaller parts.)
