About

Writing and publishing your first book is a bit like climbing Mt Everest.
I wrote this book to make the climb easier for you. It takes you through the entire journey from writing your first draft, to your publishing and distribution options and how to price and market your book.
It offers practical advice on how to avoid the most common mistakes new writers make, based on my own experiences.
All in less than 100 pages to make it fast and easy to read.

In my professional career, I developed many advertising campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Heineken, Volkswagen, IBM and many other global brands. I've worked in countries stretching from Egypt to Australia, and most places in between.

I've written TV commercials with multi-million-dollar budgets featuring global music and movie stars. I've also done my fair share of writing long-form copy for things like press releases, HR manuals, websites, PowerPoint decks and brochures. The not-so-glamourous work of the corporate world.
Early in my career, I studied writing and production. I wrote several screenplays and scripts for TV series. I studied screen-craft and writing at UCLA and did multiple film production courses. I've spent more days standing around on film sets watching cameras roll than I care to remember.

This book passes on what I learned during the process of writing my first book. It's a summary of the things I wish I'd known back when I started.
My motivation for writing it is to pay-it-forward for other people about to start the same journey.
