Dealing with the death of a loved one is one of the biggest challenges one can face in life. Whether the loss of your loved one was unexpected, or you've known about it for a long time, grief affects everyone in different ways.
This book offers you my story, some guidance, and plenty of space to grieve in your own way and explore what you are feeling. While grief isn't something you fully "recover" from, you can take steps forward toward a new life by rediscovering joy after a loss.
In these pages, you will find a blend of personal reflections, practical advice, and comforting words intended to support you through this difficult time.
My story (the one where I genuinely cannot believe how many people have died now, it's taking the piss) is but one of many paths through grief, and I hope that by sharing it, you may find resonance with your own journey.
Grief is unique to each person, which is why there is no right or wrong way to do it (but that also makes it super annoying because nobody can tell you what comes next!). This book aims to honour that individuality, providing you with tools and insights that might help you find your own way.
Let my super sh*t story (everyone has a story, but people always tend to do that 'ooo-ummm' look on their face-thing when they hear mine) be a companion on your journey, offering solace and a safe place to understand what's in your heart and what the hell is going on.
I hope with all my heart that you find some peace in these pages. May they offer you comfort and guide you gently through the path of healing.
