About

Chapter 10 of the book of Mark recounts the story of a man called blind Bartimaeus. Note two things. One, Jesus was passing by. Two, Bartimaeus had a problem. On that fateful day in the city of Jericho, his desire was simply this, to catch the attention of Jesus for a breakthrough. One small difficulty; Jesus was surrounded by a large crowd. How could Bartimaeus possibly speak over and above the din to capture the attention of Jesus? Yet he gathered courage and shouted "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me." Again and again he shouted, each shout increasing in decibel, not giving heed to the naysayers and prophets of discouragement until, the Bible says, Jesus stopped and said, "Call him over!" And the rest is history!

Bartimaeus was successful in catching the attention of Jesus by applying five key principles; PRAYER, COVENANT, FAITH, WORSHIP AND SACRIFICE.

viii

As a man of God I have met many people desperate to catch the attention of God. Unlike Bartimaeus, many would fail, become frustrated and give up.

Yet the Bible tells us over and over again how God yearns to meet and fellowship with us, how much He loves and desires to bless us. Surely there should be an easy place of connection where these two desires can meet and manifest.

So why does it appear as if Jesus passes some people by? Surely Blind Bartimaeus could not have been the only one calling out to Him in that crowd? Yet he was the only one recorded as being successful. Is God truly as far away as He seems sometimes?

This book, HOW TO CATCH GOD'S ATTENTION will unravel the mystery of the success of Bartimaeus. What was his secret to catching the attention of Jesus?

"The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever."

Deut. 29:29 (KJV)

Join me on this quest to discover these secret things that will ensure, secure and focus God's attention on you.

Read this book and your life will never be the same.
