how to bear the truth is a ruthless, raw poetry collection about surviving and healing from crime. It offers a roadmap for hope, recovery and self peace, rooted on the reality of pain. It is a book about community and spirituality, but mostly about the stubborn fountain of life that resides inside us. It celebrates the magnificence and beauty of each and every one of us, whether we shine in it or not.
