The rich texture of Scripture appears throughout the tapestry of this story. The fall of Jericho, the parable of the rich farmer, Belshazzar's great feast, and the treachery of Jacob against Esau are all brought into modern-day relevance in a story of how forgiveness, hope, and faith in a marriage combine to lead to redemption, reversing a course based on pride.
Told in the context of the courtroom drama of attorney and politician Eric Steele entering a guilty plea to criminal charges in a United States federal court, this is the story of the fall from grace of a Christian man and husband, by his own pride. It is the story of a Christian woman and wife coming to terms with the real foundation and construct of marriage.
