About

House Varnish 1998-2012 is composed of 37 poems written by the author Andre Pesilva between the years 1998 and 2012. The author invites readers to a poetic universe, where he turns the titles of the works of John Steinbeck and Tomás Antonio Gonzaga into editions. He plays with the poets Allen Ginsberg, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Mário de Andrade, Oswald de Andrade, Paulo Leminski, Vinicius de Moraes, Eugênio de Castro and Fernando Pessoa. He also pays tribute to the musicians and composers: Carlos Gomes, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Bob Dylan, Chico Buarque and Raul Seixas. Walter Miazato, responsible for the production of video clips of "Love Is Magick", "Baby" and "Sunseed", becomes a character in the main work of the painter Valério Vieira. He names a poem in honor of Keren-Happuch (one of the three daughters born in the prophet Job's second marriage). In funny stories, characters of fantastic characters, he goes through a multitude of topics. Some poems bring to the pages an expression of social lyricism, others a prose of our daily life.
