Which films are classics. Which sequels are disasters. Which movies deserve a second chance.
But what if some of the films we dismissed... were actually worth defending?
Horror Hot Takes dives headfirst into the debates that have defined horror fandom for decades. From misunderstood sequels to cult classics that were ahead of their time, this book challenges the accepted wisdom of horror movie history.
Inside these pages you'll find bold, passionate takes on films across multiple eras of genre cinema - from the blood-soaked slashers of the '80s to the strange and experimental horror of the '90s and early 2000s.
Featuring discussions on films such as:
* Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows * Psycho II * House of the Dead
...and even the argument that movies like RoboCop and Jurassic Park might secretly belong in the horror genre.
Nothing is off limits.
This isn't a guide telling you what you should like. It's a celebration of the debates, nostalgia, and late-night rewatches that make horror fandom so special.
Some takes might make you nod in agreement.
Others might make you wonder what on earth the author was thinking.
Either way, you may never look at these films the same way again.
Written by the host of the chart-topping horror podcast ClassHorrorCast, Horror Hot Takes is a love letter to the movies that shaped a generation of horror fans.
