It's been a year since Kate Jones' application for field duty was rejected. Now, she's called to her first mission-not because of her skill-but because she has history with the target. Is her old friend only funding the human trials of a deadly toxin? Or does his involvement with its sadistic creator run deeper? Eager to prove she's capable, Kate throws herself into the action, working with a team that includes the agency's top operative, Jake Bradley. Kate's instantly drawn to Jake's charm and protective nature but quickly learns that his smile masks a dark secret-one that could change her life forever. Can she trust her new team? Will she prove that she has what it takes to be a field agent? Or will the growing deceptions force her to choose between her loyalty to the agency and the man she's falling for? Honest Deception is for people who love spy movies but also wish the characters were more human.
