About
Homebound is my personal story-one that I'm sharing to inspire others who may be facing their own battles with homelessness, rejection, and the struggle to find a place to call home, both physically and spiritually. This memoir chronicles the raw and often painful journey of my life, from being homeless on the streets of San Diego to finding my faith and reclaiming my sense of purpose.
In Homebound, I walk you through the challenges I faced, from being rejected by shelters to being misunderstood by society. I share how my faith-both in myself and in my spiritual path-became the strength that helped me survive. As I reflected on my journey, I found deep connections between my own experiences and the struggles of the dwarves in The Hobbit, which is why I often find myself relating to them. Like the dwarves who were exiled and wandering, I, too, found myself in search of a home.
But this book isn't just about survival-it's about spiritual growth and transformation. I share how my experiences with homelessness ultimately led me to spiritual awakenings, connecting with both my Pagan roots and the Christian faith. Through it all, I realized that home isn't just a physical place. It's where we find peace, faith, and strength in our hearts.
I wrote Homebound to offer hope to anyone who has ever felt lost or displaced. It's my belief that no matter how far you've gone or how long you've been wandering, you can always find your way back-back to hope, to faith, and to the feeling of belonging.
