This book is a work of fiction inspired by the Biblical account in Acts 16:28, where Paul cries out to prevent a jailer from harming himself. In crafting this narrative, I aim to address the complex issues of mental health and suicide with a message of hope and intervention, all through the lens of Christian faith.
In "Hold Fast: A Story of Hope & Intervention," retired Colonel James Aish reveals how the power of community and faith can transform lives, especially among military families grappling with the unseen wounds of service. Returning to his hometown, Fort Reachie, James ignites a movement of resilience and support, proving that no soldier or family should ever battle alone.
This book shares personal stories, practical strategies, and expert advice on coping with mental health challenges through communal effort. This compelling narrative inspires readers to connect, support, and protect each other in a world where hope and help are always within reach but merely utilized. Join James and me in "Hold Fast: A Story of Hope & Intervention" and discover how you can strengthen the bonds of community and faith to make a lasting impact in the lives of military families and beyond.
