In "Hocus Pocus: Walking by Sight Not by Faith", author James Z. Cox questions and challenges the reality of the Christian God's existence as the divine supreme being and the absolute answer to the origins of this reality called life as the creator and ruler of the universe. Cox's premise speaks to the absence of this God in the creation and is critical of the competency of this biblical deity.
The purpose of this exposition is enlightenment-that the God theory is ancient and does not lend itself to a greater understanding of the origins of time or that of humanity. Cox argues in these pages that the Bible was written by man and cannot be the word of that which brought forth this reality called life.
Impartial adult readers of all ages, both of faith as well as not of faith, will find this provocative study informative and enlightening.
