Myles Johnson doesn't need much to be happy-a weekly horseback ride to clear his head, a home-cooked meal from his mama, and a promotion at the auto auction he's been working for the last eight years. He's convinced he's about to have it all until the only available auctioneer position is ripped out from underneath him and handed to out-of-towner, Hunter Smith. On top of that, he's been assigned as her ringman.Despite what Myles believes, Hunter didn't just use her daddy's name to get her the job. She's worked hard her entire life, and it finally pays off when she's offered a job in sunny Florida. The fact that it also gets her away from her overbearing mother and abusive ex is just an added perk.Hunter's conviction that Myles is nothing more than a typical jerk wavers as he shows her a more thoughtful side. But when a crisis calls her back home and he takes over her auctioneer position, will Myles feel fulfilled by finally stepping into his dream job? Or have his dreams shifted into something more?
