"Is this really Christianity that I see?" If you've ever sat in a pew wondering whether the person praising God on Sunday is the same person tearing the church apart on Monday, you're not alone-and you're not wrong to notice. In Hey, Fella, Are You Real?, pastor Edgar Roberson takes readers verse by verse through the brief but urgent book of Jude-a letter written for exactly this moment. Jude warned the early church about "certain men" who had crept in unnoticed, professing faith while corrupting it from within. Two thousand years later, Roberson argues, the warning still fits. Through the real struggles of church members caught between loving God and loving a local church that has let them down, Roberson unpacks Jude's description of the counterfeit believer-their character, their conduct, and their coming condemnation-without turning the local church into the enemy. Instead, he offers something the disillusioned Christian actually needs: a way to identify what's false, hold on to what's real, and keep contending for the faith anyway. Written not for scholars but for the everyday believer on the verge of giving up on church membership altogether, this is a study meant to comfort, clarify, and steady the faithful in confusing times-closing with a reminder of who our Savior is and why he's still worth following, no matter what counterfeits surround us. If you've ever needed someone to say out loud what you've been quietly wondering about the church, this book was written for you.
