I hadn't known how much my life was about to change or what kind of newness I might find. If I had any clue, I might have taken Pops and the girls, and run for the hills, yet what would running, really do against the Kaijimoto? I have heard the stories and the rumors. Saw the papers, with their fear mongering or idolizing. Yet nothing was about to prepare me for the encounter that I was soon to face, nor the unlikely friendships that I would find myself wanting to have.
