Hope always thought she would end up overseas as a missionary serving God as a teacher. Serious about God, and a quiet home body most of the time, it seemed nothing would stop her achieving her goals.Instead, in a series of tragic betrayals, she is drugged and seduced. Forced into marriage with a virtual stranger, what is she to do? Sure she could have said no, but after making a devastating error of judgment, she is now pregnant. She's stuck in everybody's worst nightmare, a shotgun marriage, and she can't wake up. Worse, she realises that while she likes Will, her new husband, she doesn't love him, and sometimes she doesn't even like him very much. He's a jealous jerk. What kind of marriage can she have with someone who doesn't even go to church? They have nothing in common. What is a Christian women to do in such a situation? What does God think about it all? Burning in the back of her mind is the ultimate questions. Where was God when all this was going on? Why didn't He save her?
