About
"The gates of Jerusalem stood open when the camel and his master arrived, late in the
afternoon. They had traveled for many days, returning again to the lands they'd visited
many years before, searching again for the holy one who'd drawn them."
He Is Not Here follows Astor the camel and his last master as they return to the Holy
Land, seeking again the blessed one born under that star so many years ago.
Astor and the last wise man follow in Jesus' footsteps - from the palm-strewn Gates of
Jerusalem, to the Upper Room, to the Garden of Gethsemane, to the Hill and the Cross
- but they do not find him anywhere.
Guided by the animals along the way, it's in the last place they look - the Empty Tomb
- that Astor and the wise man find the answers they seek.
In this sequel to the Christmas adventure, Bearing Gifts, experience the Easter story
through the eyes of Astor the camel and the other animals who witnessed Jesus' death
and resurrection.
