About
There are many Australians who have never seen a Black Cockatoo, except perhaps in Zoos. These fine birds belong mainly to the big timber and the solitary places of the country. They are shy birds and usually keep well away from people. Flying often in immense flocks, at a great height, they harmonise with the eerie weirdness of the gaunt, lofty gum trees which seem to reach out to them. The aim of this book is to take an historical look at Black Cockatoos, how they were viewed by people, their history, habits, species, diet, habitat, personality, identification and so much more. This publication contains an abundance of information on the various Black Cockatoo species, which is not well known.
