Greenies Path: The Search for Christopher Hiltaychuk presents a unique look at an adopted child's life told from the child's perspective. It is also a testament to the people who chose to take the challenge of raising another's child as their own and loving that child as much as any birth parent could, if not more. Author Greenie is grateful for the loving care that his adoptive parents gave him, but he is also naturally very curious about the people who gave him up for adoption. Greenie is intrigued by the knowledge that there are people in this world with the same genetic history as his people with whom he shares an unspoken bond. He describes his life, thoughts, and feelings for his birth parents, the people who felt their own world and circumstances were not ideal for raising a child at that time. He considers whether they ever wondered what happened to one of their own, one of their brothers, uncles, or grandchildren. Greenies Path is the true story of the path his life has taken the man he has become. No matter what paths lay ahead, Greenies Path captures that need for a sense of belonging to a family is such an integral foundation to their success in the world.
