Over a hundred years later, Lyndsy, a preacher's granddaughter with social anxiety, boards a plane to Maine to visit family friends. Instead, she finds her soulmate in the disembodied soul of Douglas Flynn.
Together, they spend the summer exploring the ghost's home, with its sun-dappled ballrooms, hidden doors and flower-strewn seaside meadows. They wander each other's emotions and memories, content to have found love despite time and distance.
Then the host of a failing paranormal investigation show arrives, determined to document Flynn Manor's 'haunting' at all costs. Can they evade discovery, or will the host tear the mortal girl and the ghost apart forever?
