"Quite simply, it may be one of the most unique novels of the twenty-first century to date.
I am not being overzealous. Mr. Mitchell has tackled the main themes of all our lives: love
and loss, life and death, loneliness and friendship, free will and fate, faith and doubt, good
and evil, justice and redemption, suffering and grief, power and corruption, hope, and
identity. There are many lessons to be learned in this novel. It is sometimes pretentious.
It is jittery. It is unique."
"I have never read a novel like this before. It is self-conscious in a good way. It is fun,
enlightening, and compelling. Three, or maybe four, modern-themed love stories, set in
our crazy and wonderful modern world."
"Mitchell engages you into his thinking process in putting together this entertaining look at
life and its complications. It is literature at its most compelling. With its many diversions
and internal discussions, the novel carries you along, sometimes aimlessly, in a wild ride."
"Humorous, meaningful, and insightful. The monkeys are an incredible touch. I feel like
I know them. They certainly add to the story."
"I laughed out loud many times. I cried too. I felt I knew all the characters. The stories
carried me along like a strong wind. Or maybe I should say wint?"
"I don't use the word genius very often, but I am sure it applies to this novel. Nothing like
I expected. Surprises on every page. A review of modern life and how to negotiate your
way through it, despite all the issues. Impulsive and distinctive. I couldn't put it down."
"So many insights. This novel can be read as three problematic love stories, but it is so much
more. Men and women's search for meaning and fulfillment is a never-ending journey with
no answer. Mr. Mitchell knows how to weave complementary stories into a compelling
whole. Fun and entertaining the whole way."
"Thoroughly enjoyable. Sometimes mundane. Sometimes pure nonsense. Sometimes
brilliant. Be prepared for something completely different. Never a dull moment."
