About

What if the questions are not the enemy of faith-but the beginning of it?
We live in a world capable of extraordinary beauty and unbearable cruelty. Children suffer. Families grieve. Wars continue. Animals are abandoned. Good people experience devastating loss. And somewhere tonight, someone will look toward heaven and quietly ask the question humanity has wrestled with for generations:
If there is a God, where is He?
God: What If? does not dismiss that question. It begins there.
Eric Bray invites believers, skeptics, and everyone somewhere in between to pull up a chair for an honest conversation about life, suffering, faith, compassion, free will, and hope.
There are no lectures here. No demand that you accept easy answers. Instead, Bray asks readers to consider the questions we sometimes avoid:
What if our suffering does not prove that God is absent?
What if much of the darkness we blame on heaven carries human fingerprints?
What if compassion, mercy, sacrifice, forgiveness, and our stubborn refusal to surrender hope point toward something greater than ourselves?
And perhaps the most uncomfortable question of all:
Before asking where God has been, should we also ask where we have been?
This is not a book about winning a religious argument. It is an invitation to think deeply, question honestly, and consider the possibility that doubt and faith need not be enemies.
You do not need to arrive with certainty.
You only need the courage to ask:
What if?
Pull up a chair. The porch light is on.
