Christians and politics? How should Christians approach politics? Regardless of who's running or ends up winning a political election, God tells his people in the Bible to pray for their leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior..." Dear Christian, our nation faces many challenges every day and needs the prayers of her people. This little prayer book will help you keep those affected by loss, unrest, or uncertainty-both home and abroad-in your thoughts and prayers throughout the year. Prayer topics include: • Honesty and integrity in the political process • The roles of church and state • Removal of complacency • The gospel's free course • Courage in times of crisis
