What's up? My name is Brandon Triola, and this book is sort of a life/teaching memoir based on my 15 years in public education teaching at rural, suburban, and urban schools. It's a satirical and cynically humorous look at a terrible career choice I once made because of a lack of options and failures at other pursuits in life. You'll get to explore the horrible influences in my young life that led to such a horrid career choice, including a couple of my failed marriages and my short stint as an actor in New York City. If you need some good schadenfreude in your life, then this is the book for you. From my college days where I once thought I was being invited to a threesome that actually turned out to be an exorcism, to the time a student of mine told me that he 'might have' killed a man, this book promises to make you cry, laugh, and genuinely ask yourself why the f*** would anyone go into teaching? Whether your a vet teacher or a newbie, an ex-vangelical who once thought God had a purpose for your life, or you just want the comfort knowing there are people out there just as miserable as you, GLORIFIED BABYSITTER: The Ex-vangelical Journey of a Public School Teacher brings temporary relief to any existential crisis.
