Gloria Hendry is an amazing lady who comes across beautifully in her new autobiography. She is a noted expert on blaxploitation films and an advocate for better roles for women in Hollywood.
Some of her many personal and professional accomplishments are explored in Gloria , including her work for civil rights, her celebrity as a Playboy Bunny of color and as the first Bond leading lady to give 007 a very different kind of smooch; and her work and play on and offscreen with pals like Richard Roundtree, Sir Roger Moore, Sidney Poitier and many more. Her ongoing romance with her husband, jazz legend Phil Wright, is also part and parcel of her story.
