Tagore's novel “Glimpses of Bengal” is a thorough exploration of the East Indian culture and tradition, as well as the contrast in how the British ruled. The book begins with a short overview of Tagore's life, and proceeds to give an in-depth look into the lives of many different people from across Bengal. Along with telling these stories, Tagore also delves into his own views on the political and social climate in Bengal at that time.
