Rugby is a full-contact sport in which the players don't wear helmets or pads, including in girls' and women's leagues! But, the way players learn to hit and move make the sport safer without this gear. The tough players of rugby prove that girls can get dirty, be strong, and unleash power in sports! This book introduces young readers to the appeal of rugby through discussion of basic rules, team make up, and the leagues made for women. Full-color photographs accompany achievable text and aid understanding of each concept.
