Getting to Know Me

John H. Croom, III is a retired chief executive of one of the nation's largest natural gas companies. In his auto-biography, Getting to Know Me, he relates stories of his family and childhood in his native North Carolina, his decision to be a professional engineer, and events throughout his adult working life, that took him north for almost fifty years, before retiring to his native state. Of special note, he expands on the interplay of marketing competition, regulation and politics in the natural gas business. His book concludes with his reflections on forces and natural occurrences that shaped his life, his career and his retirement.
