Against a background of Buffalo, Hollywood, and Miami, Getting out of Buffalo is a humorous, sometimes racy young man’s trip through a jungle of neurotic parents, dangerous classmates, and occasionally willing young ladies. With equal injections of curiosity and frankness, Lee Marsh also examines his personal experiences with religious intolerance and a testy father-son relationship, proving in the end that even adversity has its funny side.
