Do you also have the impression that Germany has been underperforming for some time now and that the government's performance is increasingly failing to meet our own expectations? Then you've come to the right place. This book focuses on selected areas of government dysfunction, in particular migration, internal security, legal absurdities, and excessive government spending, which only the government itself can fix. It also looks at old and new reasons for the decline in the government's value for money – from the mindset of the 1968 generation to inefficient fragmentation and a lack of a learning culture. The overall picture leads to only one conclusion: a lot needs to change, and fast.
