Jamie is thirty-one, a bartender with a sharp tongue, a pocket full of poems he never shares, and a knack for attracting catastrophes disguised as dates. When yet another handsome disaster mistakes his name for Jeremy and leaves him stranded on the curb with sticky jeans and a tiny umbrella sword, Jamie does what he always does: texts the group chat.
But this time, his chosen family - Rae the spit fire lesbian skeptic, Luis the flamboyant agent of chaos, Noor the tender-hearted optimist, and Ivanna Drama, a drag queen who dispenses wisdom like cocktails - push him further. Why keep these stories between friends when the whole world could laugh, cry, and commiserate along with them? Overnight, Gay Disaster, Inc. is born: a chaotic, heartfelt podcast where queer disasters roast their own lives with fries, glitter, and radical honesty.
As their banter turns into viral fame, Jamie has to navigate more than hecklers and "Justice for Jeremy" merch. His messy stories stop being just funny when strangers begin to see themselves in them. Vulnerability creeps in, forcing him to admit that maybe he'd rather be a joke than invisible - and maybe that's not enough anymore. Add to the mix Alex, a producer with kind eyes and dangerously competent forearms, and suddenly Jamie is risking more than his dignity: he might be risking his heart.
Witty, warm, and sparkling with queer camaraderie, Gay Disaster, Inc. is a love letter to found family, bad dates, and the way humor saves us when life feels unmanageable. It's about the disasters we survive, the stories we tell, and the moment you realize your chaos might actually be worth broadcasting.
