Success is ensured by the astute financial planners at Galleon Investments in the town of Dundalk, Maryland. There is a political base that rounds out the clientele roster, as well as waves of patronage that follow in the wake of the firm's leader, Randolph Galleon, a stalwart symbol of intellect and integrity. For Dundalk, a new plant promises hope with the heralding of its arrival-but could one rotten apple spoil everything?
Dundalk has never been able to hold its head high since the historic demise of Bethlehem Steel days, but a new industry promises otherwise. Its citizens are doing cartwheels in anticipation, welcoming its genesis like a prideful grandparent. Would that bubble burst for Dundalk, as murder lingers in the air at Galleon and unscrupulous characters threaten to undermine the trajectory of the firm's operations?
A common enemy and drugs prove a dangerous catalyst that jeopardize the very structure carefully nurtured by Randolph for a lifetime. Why were some people destined for greatness while others remained mired in the hallows of darkness? While fighting for Galleon's survival, the question lingers for both Randolph and his star pupil, Evan: even he is sometimes tempted to steal! Who will win the battle? The answer remains, perhaps no one.
