About

Fat ass ery: a common affiction in a marketed world full of edible food like substances. What I thought I knew, well, I was wrong and on a slippery slope of career and ever more trusting of the food industry to care for my health. I think I eat fairly healthy.. Grab and go. Rush. I bought the image they sell everyday. Fun, healthy convenience. After all, food is for sale everywhere, it is a regulated industry right? They care about me, right? What's not to love? I have to get this report done and this job completed, etc.. Life was good. Hmm, how come my scale keeps showing bigger numbers? Wierd. I had a salad for lunch whats up? whats going on? Apparently outsourcing my health to imagery, "products", magazine articles and fast lifestyle choices makes me gain weight. I blamed my body. What is going on here? I accepted my fate…. And 8 years later, I changed my mind…I was starting to get allergies.. What? I finally realized my body was speaking to me this whole time, I just wasn't listening. I realized I didn't really have answers, only half truths and marketed thoughts. Finally, I asked, "Why is something so simple as food so complicated?" I'm very confused. I'm not the only one. I begin to realize, my body type burns fuels differently than others. I need foods that are optimized for me. I'm onto something big! Turns out, my life's journey from farm kid, to health nut, to 8 years of fatassery and worsening health to rediscovering my health and completing a quest of quests: 52 Adventure Marathons in 40 Weeks has given me a unique knowledge base in that I have personally experienced all sides of modern food business. I am a business insider. I know the production side, consumerist side, and the end results of: seeing my health decay to ultimately discovering what foods are and applying this knowledge to reclaim my body, mind and spirit from the marketing machine. Come with me, let me flip your noodle, let's find what fuels work for you!
