It is evident in today’s world that we are living in perilous times. In her first collection of inspirational poems, Jean Williams Turnage relies on her Christian beliefs to shine a light on challenges we may face in this lifetime and encourage others to embrace faith and rejoice in the blessings that can accompany even the most difficult moments.
Using the King James Version of the Bible as a reference, Jean shares poetry that intertwines her own observations with verse based on scripture that touches on a variety of topics and inspires further Bible reading and study. Through moving lyrical expressions showing that God is our lighthouse, Jean leads others on a spiritual journey where it soon becomes evident that even in the midst of overwhelming unrest, struggles, and pain, it is possible to rely on heavenly intervention for direction, rescue, and protection.
From the Lighthouse shares an inspirational collection of poems intended to highlight today’s ills, offer comfort, and celebrate the divine miracles that come with troubles.
