Young Lucy's national award emerges amid her traumas at school and the disappearance of her older brother, her idol. Could one of the skeletons found in coal ash be his? 'We've got nothing but the bones.' Says Inspector Beryl Stone decades later. The story is of lives and hardships in West Lake Macquarie in the 1950's, the dangers in a small commercial fishing family, the Australian ecology and national treasures, all wrapped up with mystery and 2025 hoky poky to add excitement. There is no existing genre for a story like this.
