About

The term "intergenerational contract," which has been popular for decades, is intended to illustrate the responsibility between generations and thus also stands for secure pensions by establishing a "contract" between the contribution-paying and pension-receiving generations. But is the underlying principle really fair? Does its basic structure still hold up in the face of today's demographic developments? The author addresses these and other questions in this book and wonders whether "generational fraud" might not be a more appropriate term, since, in his opinion, the repeatedly asserted solidarity between generations actually conceals the expropriation of parents and thus also of the subsequent generation.
