Frederick G. Pig is a classroom pet who tells the teacher, Mrs. Small and the students how he feels. He doesn't like being left alone, but he loves to eat. He likes being held just right. Even with lots of attention from the students he feels lonely. When Mrs. Small introduces him to Treenie a small girl Guinea Pig he is aggressive. He learns how to be nice to Treenie. He want to live with her and hopes she will never leave. He asks Treenie to get married. Treenie isn't sure about this and insists that they write their own vows. The students help them write wedding vows and have a wedding.
