Malfred Murd's job as the royal jester was never a barrel of laughs, but now he's lost even that. Trying to jingle out a living on the streets with no license, no hat, and no one to watch his back but a sassy talking magpie, he flips at the chance to make a little money- even if the plan isn't entirely honest. Hoy, desperate times, desperate measures… right? But Fred has no idea what depths of desperation he's just stepped into. In short order he finds himself helping a possibly unhinged noblewoman hunt for a missing sorcerer- with the future of her country in the balance... and her blade hovering over his neck! Indulge in laughter, wordcraft and a witty, twisty plot as you follow the Fool and see if he can juggle everything life throws at him!
