IT'S 1978, and Jack Dolan, a young commercial pilot, is down on his luck, coming from behind, and up against the clock. In a bold move to break out of his slump, he takes a thrilling journey through the dark underbelly of commercial aviation.
In this gripping tale that weaves together elements of travel, adventure, romance, and suspense, Jack signs on with a shady airline in Miami that has a contract to fly the Muslim pilgrims on the hajj.
Although flying for an airline located at the infamous "Corrosion Corner" is a high-stakes gamble that could ruin his career as quickly as it advances it, once inside, he discovers a compelling group of men and women.
They take the tough jobs that no one else will touch: plucking the State Department's right-wing dictators from left-wing mobs, delivering critical food and medical supplies to a war ravaged people in Sudan-and so many more.
Despite the peril, Jack is hooked. He'll risk his life, his career, and a woman he loves to succeed.
Through richly developed characters and unexpected plot twists, Flying Crooked offers a riveting drama and a pilot's-eye view of aviation's seamy side.
