When a vampire assassin comes looking for her witch apprentice, Jenna B. Good will do anything to save her-even if that means making the ultimate sacrifice.
Jenna B. Good is a witch. She worked as a hunter for the Department of Preternatural Affairs (DPA), until a fae lunatic killed her werewolf fiancé, Sam, and her mentor, Hiro. Grief-stricken, she resigned from the DPA to run Elm City Arcana, the shop she inherited from Hiro. Now the only things she hunts are precious magical artifacts for her wealthy clients.
Until one day a vampire assassin shows up looking for her witch apprentice, Maya. Jenna takes her in only to find out that the predator was sent by the world's most powerful vampire cabal-and that someone from the local community reported Maya to them. After enlisting the help of her hunter friend, Rick-who would have been Sam's best man-Jenna uncovers a far deeper mystery in her apprentice's past. Can Jenna prove Maya's innocence before it's too late?
